John and Anne Rumbel now manage the Belmur Devon Stud that was established by John's father Ken. "Old Farm" is situated 25 ks south of Coolah and 35 ks north east of Dunedoo of the Golden Highway and this is approximately 200 miles to the north west of Sydney.

They run 50 stud as well as 50 commercial purebred Devons. The original herd was developed as a long line of top quality commercial cattle using mainly Wombramurra bulls with bloodlines such as Monarch, Visa, Guilder, Guide, Rover, Zero, Comet, Magic and Ranger. Kholwha Boomer and Coppermine Visa H17 were also used.

Blemur sells a draft of bulls at the annual Gloucester Bull sales. Strong demand usually results in excellent prices being received. Visitors and inspections are always welcome.
